How manually move a chair

0 votes
I have a sterling stairlift that is dead and not charging.  We had some construction going on, and the guys moved the chair to the middle of the track, not on either charging pad.  Now the battery is dead and it isn't getting charged and I can't move it either up or down to charge it.

How do I manually move the chair (preferably down) the track into position to charge?

I believe its a sterling 1000 or 2000, but I can't find the model number anywhere on it.

Thank you for your help

Most lifts have a means for "hand cranking" to manually move the lift. Some stairlifts come with a hand crank tool while others can be hand cranked with a wrench. I could not find any information on how to hand crank a sterling lift. Is there a safety sticker on the stairlift? If so it may have information on how to hand rank the stair lift.
